CS2 Skin Patterns Explained

In Counter-Strike 2, many skins have variable patterns determined by a paint seed (pattern index). Two skins with the same name can look completely different — and one might be worth 100x more than the other. Our pattern guides teach you how to identify, value, and trade the most sought-after patterns in the game.

How to Check Your Skin's Pattern

Step 1: Get the Inspect Link

Right-click the item in your Steam inventory or on the Steam Market. Select "Inspect in Game" or copy the inspect link.

Step 2: Use CSGOFloat

Paste the inspect link into CSGOFloat.com. It will show you the paint seed (pattern index), float value, and for some skins, the specific pattern name (e.g., "Sapphire", "Phase 2").

Step 3: Look Up the Pattern

Use our guides above or community databases to compare your paint seed against known valuable patterns. Each skin type has its own pattern value hierarchy.
